It was a trip organized by my mentor, Ujang, and a friend of mine came all the way from Kemaman just to fish here. A real fisho indeed. Enjoy the pics.

Mensiakap di Banting/Mensiakap at Banting....

Semalam, dok semua menyambut tahun baru, aku dengan alem pegi la manceng kat area banting, tempat tue sebelum pantai morib. Aku tak nah g tempat nie alem jer penah g, so sesampainye kat situ, aku menjala udang, udang kurang banyak kat spot pertama, so g la spot kedua, ketiga dan keempat. Akhirnya kurang dari 50 ekor udang berjaya di jala, tu pun kerja separuh hari beb, tangan da mcm popeye da nie.

Matlamat aku kat sane sebenornye nak casting, udang tue kire kes emergensi jer la kan. casting punyer casting, 2 lure da jadi tukun, satu grub da jadi tanglung, uish takleh jadi nie, plan emergensi pun terpaksa la dijalankan. so float ngan udang pun menjadi pertaruhan. banyak dapat, kat 15 ekor, 'tapi'...anak anak die jer. tak sampai 200gram pun so kesemuanya dilepaskan. rupe rupenye tempat tue nursery die, cuma nasib jer la kalu dapat yg skala 1kg keatas. rekod kat situ 12kg, induk la kiranye tue tapi dilepaskan semula.

Kita kena la jaga potensi tempat mcm nie, biar ader tempat die membesar, tempat berlindung die dari pemangsa lain, jangan la pulak kita jadi pemangsa rakus, jadi la pemangsa sporting. Insyaallah...

Sekor nie jer kasar yg lain juvana lagi.

Mintak maaf la yer tak berbaju, baju basah berlumpur. hehe

Alem yg bawak aku tempat nie, siakap saiz curut mcm nie banyak so amalkan la tagal.

From the previous post, i said that F.V is the only place that rears Pla-Buks, i want to make a correction, the other place that also rears Pla-Buks is Tow Foo. if im still wrong please do correct me. Thank You.

FISH VALLEY, SEMENYIH.

29th Disember 08.

For the past few days of holiday, i've spent some time fishing here in F.V. Its a pay pond, which interestingly enough holds the first ever in malaysia (hope this is right), 'Pla-Buks'. Plabuks are not from malaysia, only found in thailand, also known as the giant mekong catfish. Well here in F.V, there are about 1000 of these powerhouse of a fish, fighting them is one thing but to catch them is another. The largest at this pond are the 40kg mark, the ones that is caught and released is a 28kg, took about 2 hrs to haul it in. But as for myself, ive experienced the enormous strenght of pulling power of this fish, and ever since, i sudah kena racun daaaa......

so here are some pictures to racun you guys caught today, oh btw, i didnt fish today, my hand went to sleep yesterday after a tug of war with a huge pacu...hehehe

The catches.


My catch, a 6kg rohu on dough, line poundage is 10lb, the reel is a Daiwa Regal SXi 3500, rod is a Lemax Black Rose.



A fishing kaki with a 7kg specimen using a Tomman reel approximate size 750, an X-Puyu rod, and a 6lb line, caught with dough mix.



Last catch of the day, a 6kg pacu on worms. Rod, X-Puyu Banding, Shimano Sedona 750FB, line poundage 6lb.
